Kelly McGarry’s Bicycle Backflip Over 72ft Canyon Is Scary As Hell
Red Bull Rampage is an annual freeride mountain bike competition. The event witnesses some of the most talented bikers pull off daredevil stunts as they pedal downhill. This year's edition was held between October 11 & 13 and showcased some of the most spectacular and awe inspiring spectacles.
While the winner of the competition was Kyle Strait, who won the gold medal for the second time, the star of the show was 31 year old New Zealander Kelly McGarry, who secured second place and was the recipient of Red Bull Bike People's Choice Award, based on online viewer votes.

If barrelling downhill on a precariously narrow mountain ridge, with steep drops on either sides wasn't dangerous enough McGarry went on to jump a 72 feet canyon while doing a backflip.
"It's such a sick jump. I've done one a little bit shorter. It's definitely the biggest one I have ever done. It came round and I snuck it in and I got around and it felt so awesome," McGarry told Bikeradar.
McGarry recorded the entire nerve wreaking downhill ride with his helmet mounted GoPro camera. Take a look.
