Kawasaki Ninja H2 Disintegrates After A High Speed Crash In Tamil Nadu — Here’s What Happened
A recent Kawasaki Ninja H2 crash at Taneja Aerospace, Hosur has made headlines. Here’s what really happened.
Big displacement motorcycles are fun, as long as they are treated with respect and ridden sensibly. The immense power they produce catches most riders off guard and that's when disaster strikes.

One example we would like to point out is the recent crash – Kawasaki Ninja H2 – that happened at a drag strip close to Bangalore, Taneja Aerospace and Aviation Limited, located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.

Pictures have already surfaced online and stories surrounding the crash vary, but the essence of the story remains the same — the rider crashed the Ninja H2 at high speeds, wrecking the motorcycle and injuring himself.

The accident happened when a group was shooting for an upcoming drag race, and the rider misjudged the length of the runway. The motorcycle, being a supercharged litre bike, was travelling over 300km/h and crashed into a wall while still doing around 200km/h.

The motorcycle was not ridden by the owner, but by another seasoned rider when the accident happened. The owner of the motorcycle cannot claim for insurance since the H2 was used for motorsport purposes, and the crash has destroyed the bike beyond repair.

The rider, who owns a Kawasaki ZX-10R himself, was lucky to escape with his life. He is undergoing treatment for a broken collar bone and pelvic.

The Kawasaki Ninja H2 is one of the most extreme sports bikes available in the market today, owing to its 1.0-litre supercharged engine which makes 197bhp. The motorcycle costs approximately Rs 37 lakh on-road (Delhi).

The above accident could be a freak incident, since a seasoned rider piloted the motorcycle, but it does give us a peek at one of the consequences that can occur when dealing with big displacement motorcycles. Ride safe!
