The Jeep brand recently celebrated the sale of its five millionth Wrangler, a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe 20th anniversary Edition in Earl exterior paint. The proud new owner resides in Camden, New Jersey. This remarkable achievement aligns with the launch of their latest model, the all-new 2024 Jeep Wrangler.
Introduced at the Chicago Auto Show back in 1986 as a replacement for the Jeep CJ, the first Jeep Wrangler continued and upheld the legacy established by its predecessor —the original Willys MB from 1941. Today, it remains one of the most recognizable vehicles in the industry and is synonymous with off-road capability and authentic design.

Jim Morrison, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America expressed his pride over this milestone saying that "five million sales demonstrate our growth driven by an unwavering passion within our global community." He added that "Wranglers are still on roads around world proving their durability."
The first generation of this iconic SUV was introduced to production lines nearly four decades ago at American Motors Corporation factory under model code YJ. Over time, each iteration has built upon its legendary history while offering more refinement and comfort for everyday use.
