James Bond Cars: Jaguar & Land Rover Vehicles Used In ‘No Time To Die’ Movie To Be Sold In Auction
The stunt cars used in the James Bond movie No Time To Die are all set to be auctioned in the UK. 60 cars used in the filming of the latest James Bond movie are all set to go under the hammer and some of them are expected to go for extraordinarily high prices. The cars include the Land Rover Defender, Range Rover Sport SVR, and Jaguar XF.
James Bond is one of the most iconic movie franchises in the history of filmmaking. Apart from being known for their adrenaline-filled action sequences, James Bond movies are very well known for using some of the most exquisite cars and sometimes even motorcycles. The cars used by James Bond have in the past all become rare automotive masterpieces that any car buff would love to own.
Released to global audiences in 2021, 'No Time To Die' is the latest James Bond movie. Jaguar Land Rover played a major role in the movie and as a result, several cars from Jaguar and Land Rover were used in the action sequences of the movie.
The biggest and baddest of them all were the black Land Rover Defender SUVs. These SUVs were seen performing jumps, rolling over, crashing, and performing high-speed chase sequences both on and off-road. In fact, the Land Rover Defender SUVs in No Time To Die are very special because they went straight from the factory to the filming sets.
They also have the special 007 chassis number series and are therefore highly valuable. The SUVs are expected to fetch up to 500,000 pounds (Rs 4.81 crore) in auction. Yet another iconic vehicle from the Land Rover stable was used in the filming of No Time To Die. This is the Range Rover Sport SVR with a fire-breathing supercharged V8 engine. The SVR is expected to go for around 120,000 pounds (Rs 1.15 crore).
A few Jaguar XF sedans were also used during the action-packed chase sequences. These sedans are expected to be auctioned for as high as 70,000 pounds (Rs 67 lakh). There is yet another Land Rover Defender 110 V8 Bond Edition that will also be auctioned along with the Bond Cars. This one though, wasn't used in the movie. However, it does stick with the Bond theme and is expected to go for as high as 300,000 pounds (Rs 2.88 crore).
Nick Collins, Executive Director of Vehicle Programs at Jaguar Land Rover was quoted as saying, "Defender, Range Rover, and Jaguar were in the thick of the action in No Time To Die. Each car represents a unique piece of James Bond history which we're sure collectors will be keen to own and we are delighted to be able to support our charity partners through their sale."
The auction will be conducted at Christie's in London and the proceeds from the first few units of the Defender will be given as charity to the Red Cross.
Thoughts On Land Rover & Jaguar James Bond Movie Cars Being Auctioned
James Bond will always have a special place in the hearts of movie buffs and the cars that the fictional MI6 character drives in his movies will always have a special place in the heart of a petrolhead. These cars too are mouthwatering and we certainly want one of those Defenders.
