ISRO To Launch 36 OneWeb Satellites On March 26 – All Eyes On India’s LVM-III
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has started the countdown to launch the 36 OneWeb satellites into space using the LVM-III (Launch Vehicle Mark-III). The launch will take place from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota at 9:00 am.
Speaking about OneWeb, it is a UK-based firm backed by India's Bharti Group. Through the launch of these satellites, the company is aiming to provide high-speed internet connectivity across the globe.

In addition to that, these 36 OneWeb Gen-1 satellites weigh a total of 5,805 kilograms and will be deployed into 450km circular Low Earth Orbit (LEO) with an inclination of 87.4 degrees. Also, this is the second launch of OneWeb satellites from India in the last year.
In fact, OneWeb has signed a pact with ISRO and NSIL to place 72 satellites in orbit, and this task will be carried out in two batches consisting of 36 satellites per batch. Thanks to this deal, the Indian space agency has minted a revenue of around Rs 1,000 crore.
Speaking about the LVM-III, it is the country's heaviest launch vehicle consisting of two solid S200 propellants, an L110 twin liquid engine, a C25 cryogenic upper stage, an equipment bay, and an Encapsulated assembly. The latter consists of a spacecraft, a payload adaptor, and a payload fairing.
Thanks to this three-stage propulsion system, the LVM-III stands 43.5 metres tall and has a lift-off weight of 643 tons. Since ejecting satellites is a complex manoeuvre, the LVM-III's cryogenic stage is designed to orient in an orthogonal direction that will fit customer requirements precisely.

Thoughts About ISRO Launching 36 OneWeb Satellites Into Orbit
This is not only the LVM-III's sixth mission and 2nd mission involving Low Earth Orbit (LEO), but it is also the shortest duration for ISRO to carry out two missions in the LVM-III launch vehicle.
