India’s Most Expensive Lamborghini Goes To Tamil Nadu — An Ad Personam Spec Aventador S
A Verde Scandal Aventador S becomes Lamborghini’s most expensive model sold in India. Explore more about the Ad Personam Lamborghini Aventador S.
Indian roads are no short of bulls these days. They come in meat, a V10 or a V12. The country has seen quite a good rise in supercars lately, and this particular Lamborghini could easily top the list.
What is so particularly special about this Lamborghini Aventador S you may ask? Well, to start off, it's the custom paint. Calling it light green would make things a bit uncool, so Lamborghini gave it a name that shouts 'Italian' on your face - 'Verde Scandal'!
Now, if you are a Lamborghini geek, you might argue that the Aventador SV is costlier than the Aventador S. Then, we've got only two words to say to you - Ad Personam!
Ad Personam is a division at Lamborghini, dealing with custom paint jobs and accessories (Remember the Pope's White+Gold Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2?). They provide some insane specs for customers who think their ‘regular' Lamborghini isn't ‘cool enough'.
Hence, this Aventador S owned by the Malik brothers, Akram Malik and Gaddafi Malik from Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, becomes the most expensive Lamborghini ever sold in India, beating an Aventador SV Roadster (Owned by K V Prasad, a businessman from Bangalore), by a small margin. They also own supercars such as the Audi R8 and the Nissan GT-R.
The Aventador S (LP 740-4) is Lamborghini's second latest ‘mass production' car worldwide (Latest being the Aventador S Roadster). It has a 6.5-litre NA V12, giving out 730bhp @ 8400rpm and 690Nm @ 5500rpm, and is mated to a 7-speed ‘single-clutch' automatic.
In addition to its All-Wheel Drive system, the car features an intelligent All-Wheel Steer too, for better cornering and a lower turning radius. The rear wheels turn in the opposite direction to the front wheels at slow speeds and turn in the same direction at high speeds. And with the improved aero involved, the car rides like it's glued to the ground.
The car also features four driving modes: Strada(Comfort), Sport, Corsa(Track) and Ego(Individual). Lamborghini claims that the new Aventador S generates 130% more front-downforce, and things are kept planted with its new magneto-rheological suspension.
The car can go from 0-100km/h in 2.9s and can reach a top speed of 350km/h. In case you are wondering, it gives a mileage of around 7km/l on the highway and a humble 4km/l in the city, or maybe even less.
