The latest reports emanating from Hollywood suggest that Logan actor, Hugh Jackman, is in the driving seat to play Enzo Ferrari in the biopic movie about the iconic Ferrari founder.

According to deadline.com, Jackman is now favourite for the role after The Dark Knight actor Christian Bale bailed out of the project after developing health concerns while putting on weight for the role.

Putting on weight shouldn't be that big an issue for Jackman now though as according to Deadline, he is a better physical match for the legendary Ferrari boss. Jackman also no longer has to watch his weight after bidding goodbye to the role of Wolverine in Logan.

The Ferrari movie, produced by Michael Mann has been in the works for 20 years now, and filming is expected to start in the summer of 2018. Mann's is set in 1957 when Ferrari was battling for supremacy against rival Maserati.

Michael Mann's movie isn't the only Enzo Ferrari biopic in the works. Robert De Niro is also set to play the fiery Ferrari founder in a film chronicling the later years of the racing icon's life.
