Hot Wheels Pulls Off Life Size Double Loop; Makes Documentary
Remember the Hot Wheels loop sets which many of us have played with when young? Just watching a toy car shoot out fast and make a loop, before landing on the other end was one of the most exciting things we could experience. Hot Wheels recently decided to give that very experience a lot more depth by pulling it off using real cars.
For the stunt Hot Wheels decided to bring together two well known names from the world of motorsports. Tanner Foust, from the world of rallycross and Greg Tracy, the Ducati Pikes Peak champion.

The setup was of epic scale. The massive construction measured 66 foot tall and consisted of twin loops.

The team first tried out the stunt using a remote controlled Mitsubishi Lancer, which crashed, thus proving the danger involved.
The Hot Wheels team has prepared a documentary, giving us a behind the scenes look at how the stunt was planned and successfully pulled off.
Here is another video of the double loop being performed, from another, closer angle.
