Homeopathic Doctor Covers His Car With Cow Dung – Here’s Why You Should Not Do It

Summers are becoming more and more unbearable, but people are coming up with new ways to beat the heat. In a fact, a homeopathic doctor in Madhya Pradesh has come up with an out-of-the-box solution to keep his car cool during summer.

According to the homeopathic doctor, Sushil Sagar, the layer of cow dung on his Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 is able to keep the interior cool as it does not allow heat to come inside.

Dr Sagar says that the metal sheet on top of the car absorbs heat and increases the temperature inside the car and by applying a layer of cow dung coating, the temperature inside the car is better controlled.

He also added that the effectiveness of the AC in his car also improved by applying a layer of cow dung as the time taken to cool the car during summer after turning on the AC is now almost immediate.

Speaking about the new coating on his car, Dr Sagar said that there is nothing other than the cow dung in the coating and it was applied in a similar fashion to how cow dung is applied on the ground.

It is also worth mentioning that this is not the first time people have coated their car with cow dung. Back in 2019, a Toyota Corolla Altis sedan was coated in cow dung to yield similar results.

That being said, dried cow dung is a combustible material and this same material is still used as a cooking fuel in many parts of the country. As such, applying a layer of cow dung can be potentially dangerous as it increases the chances of fire.

Moreover, water droplets can sometimes act as lenses and focus sun rays. These focused sun rays can easily ignite dried leaves and in this case, it may even ignite the dried cow dung on the car.

Thoughts About Applying Cow Dung On The Car

As cow dung is a good heat insulator, applying a layer of cow dung may actually reduce the temperature inside the car. However, once the cow dung is dried up, it becomes a combustible material and this can be very dangerous.
