Hema Malini Adds MG M9 Electric MPV Worth Rs 69.90 Lakh To Her Garage
Veteran Bollywood actress and current MP from Mathura, Hema Malini has added an MG M9 electric MPV to her garage. The MG M9 luxury MPV was launched in India in July and carries a starting price of Rs 69.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The MG M9 was the first offering from the British firm's MG Select lineup.
Hema Malini received delivery of the MG M9 during the Ganesh Chaturti festive period, and a video uploaded by Viral Bhayani on Instagram shows the former actress taking delivery of her all-new electric luxury MPV.
The video shows her removing the car cover of the MG M9, offering prayers, and exploring the interiors. Decorations included balloons and family photos can be seen inside the cabin of Hema Malini's MG M9.
Hema Malini previously drove the MG Hector. With the M9, she now owns two models from the brand. The arrival of the MG M9 also sees the veteran actress expanding her garage into the electric space while also turning the luxury levels up to 11, when compared to the Hector.
The MG M9 purchased by Hema Malini is finished in Pearl Lustre White, one of three colour options on offer alongside Metal Black and Concrete Grey. Inside, the MG M9 is designed with premium features. It offers 16-way adjustable seats with massage, heating, and ventilation. A massive panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, and a 13-speaker audio system with amplifier and subwoofer are part of the equipment list.
The MG M9 electric luxury MPV draws power from a 90 kWh NMC battery that is paired with an electric motor producing 245 hp and 350 Nm of torque. MG claims a range of 548 kilometres on a single charge, positioning it among India's longest-range electric MPVs.
Charging options include an 11 kW wall box and a 3.3 kW portable charger. The M9 also supports DC fast charging, which allows the battery to charge from 30 to 80% in around 30 minutes.
The MG M9 was introduced earlier this year as part of JSW-MG's expansion into electric mobility. After the launch of the M9, MG added the Cyberster electric sports car to its MG Select lineup. The two EVs could soon be joined by a third model, which some reports suggest could be the Majestor SUV we saw at Auto Expo 2025.
