Harley Davidson & Marvel Team Up For Iron Man 3
Harley Davidson and Marvel Entertainment have teamed up once again for the third and the last movie of the Iron Man series. As part of a promotional event fans have been given a chance to participate in a contest called "Man & Machine."
Participants are required to custom design a Harley Davidson Street Bob motorcycle and five winners will be selected at the end of the contest. All five winners will be featured in their own Marvel comic as members of team "Road Force".
"Iron Man, one of Marvel's most iconic creations, truly embodies the rebellious attitude and power of Harley-Davidson," said Dino Bernacchi, Harley-Davidson Marketing Communication Director. "Collaborating with Marvel for Marvel's Iron Man 3 continues our tradition of crowd-sourcing, fan-driven content. In 2012, Marvel fans proved their creativity with our first co-created Avengers comic book. Now, we're raising the stakes by unveiling the winners on one of the world's largest stages - San Diego Comic Con."
Harley Davidson and Marvel had earlier teamed up for The Avengers" and before that for "Captain America: The First Avenger". "Assemble Your Freedom" was the contest that was held for "The Avengers" last year and the winners were also featured as members of a fictional team called "Road Force" (Pictured here)
The five winners of the "Man & Machine" contest will be flown down to ComicCon International in San Diego where they will unveil the comic featuring the "Road Force" team created in their likeliness.
One lucky winner will get the grand prize which will be the same Custom Street Bob motorcycle.
Harley Davidson Street Bob is priced at INR10,16,000 in India and 1585cc, air-cooled, twin cam 96 engine.
