Actor Genelia D'Souza Gifts Tesla Model X Electric SUV To Husband Ritesh Deshmukh For His Birthday
Bollywood actor and wife of Ritesh Deshmukh, who himself is an actor, Genelia D'Souza has gifted a Tesla Model X electric SUV to her husband on his birthday. Ritesh Deshmukh took to social media and tweeted a picture of him with his priced birthday gift.
The actor celebrated his 40th birthday, and with the new Model X, he could possibly be the second owner of the SUV in the country. Recently, Mr Prashant Ruia, CEO of ESSAR, bought a Tesla Model X with a Mumbai registration. As for Ritesh Deshmukh's Tesla, we aren't sure if he'll be driving it in India as the location in the picture does not seem to be in India.

The Tesla Model X is the only SUV produced by the carmaker and is also one of the fastest in the segment. The Model X can sprint to 100km/h in 4.8 seconds from standstill. Two electric motors power the SUV, the former powering the front axle and later the rear.
While the combined output of both the motors is 752bhp, the peak torque is an astonishing 967Nm. The Model X can achieve a top speed of 250km/h.

The SUV features Enhanced Autopilot which can perform tasks such as Autosteer up to 145km/h, Auto Lane Change, Summon, Lane Departure Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking. The Model X also features eight surround cameras offering 360-degree vision, and twelve ultrasonic sensors detect surrounding objects.
The electric carmaker also comes with a faster variant of the Model X called the P90D, this version sprints to 100km/h in just 3.8 seconds. However, with the Ludicrous mode, the Model X takes only 3.2 seconds to reach 100km/h from standstill.
DriveSpark Thinks!
With Teslas reaching Indian shores, the country seems ready to embrace electrification of vehicles. Tesla is spearheading the electric vehicle segment with some of the ludicrously developed electric cars and it's just a matter of time before Tesla Motors arrived in India.
