Forza Motorsport 5 Adds Nurburgring To Game!
Virtual race fans, rejoice! The Nurburgring is possibly the greatest race track ever, and for the first time ever, Forza Motorsport 5 (XBox) has added the famous race track to the game, according to a report by Autoblog. The announcement was made by Turn 10 Studios' creative director, Dan Greenawalt.
The wait should be well worth it. Turn 10's track capture team actually laser scanned the entire track to provide an unparalleled level of realism that is sure to keep gamers hooked.
"Building the track from the ground up for Forza Motorsport 5 required more than 30 artists from all over the world, putting in more than 13,000 man hours to complete the project," Greenawalt told Autoblog late last week. "We've modeled more than 26,000 roadside trees alone."
The Nordschleife and the more modern Grand Prix circuit have been added to the game, with players being able to play the 16-mile combined track or each track individually.
Along with the ‘Ring comes a booster pack of 5 famous race cars: a 1967 Brabham BT24, a 1939 Maserati 8C TF, a 1956 Lotus Eleven, a 1989 Audi 90 IMSA-GTO, and finally, a Formula Ford EcoBoost.
