Ford Shinola Special Edition Watch Celebrates 50 years Of Mustang
Special edition watches are a common way of celebrating the launch of a new car or the long time existence of old one, by automakers. If you remember, Ferrari has a companion watch for the LaFerrari and so do a lot of other carmakers.
This one is from Ford, which will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mustang brand in April next year. However, the watch has already been commissioned and the one making it is Detroit based luxury product maker, Shinola.

Shinola, not traditionally a watchmaker, is a luxury product maker in general, which is also well known for its bicycles.

The watch sports Swiss movements of course and has a scratch resistant sapphire crystal front glass. The strap is crafted from premium black leather.

The ‘Mustang 50 Years' logo appears on the face of the watch as well as on the metal crown. The watch can resist water up to five times the atmospheric pressure.

The watch is a limited edition model and only 1,000 units will be produced. Each piece will go for $700, which is sort of a bargain for a limited edition watch when you compare it against a limited edition watch such as the Hublot MP 05 LaFerrari.
Do you think the $700 price tag is worth paying for this special edition watch? Let us know.
