Step 6: Tighten the nuts with your hands. Ensure that all the nuts are placed correctly and lower the vehicle. Now tighten the nuts with the wrench as much as you can. Exert your weight on the lug wrench and double-check if the nuts are screwed tightly.
Step 7: Lower the vehicle completely, double-check on the nuts, and replace the hubcap. Ideally, the hubcap should fit the spare wheel; if it doesn't fit, stow it away with the flat tyre.
Step 8: Collect all the tools and the flat tyre without fail. Ensure you correctly collect and secure all the tools along with the flat tyre before continuing your journey.
Step 9: Check the spare wheel's tyre pressure to ensure it is safe to drive. And if the tyre pressure is low, drive slowly towards a nearby service station to get it fixed.
