Auto Industry: 5 Top Level Executives Who Have Taken New Roles
The automobile industry is constantly changing to keep up with the competition in the real world. Changes can either be with products, technology, marketing, pricing and even management.
Over time, many top level executives have joined companies or changed their roles in the present companies or have even quit due to certain factors.
In our list today, we take a look at 5 top level executives from the automobile industry who have either been hired or taken new roles in the same company itself. Here it goes:
1. Shigeru Hayakawa, Toyota:
Shigeru Hayakawa had been with Toyota since 1977 and has experience in the company's US operations and also is a communications expert with the company. He has recently been named as the replacement for Julie Hamp, who was recently arrested and released for suspected drug law violations.
2. Kaher Kazem, General Motors:
Kaher Kazem has been named as the new Chief Operating Officer of General Motors India. Kazem was formerly an engineer at Holden. He is currently the Managing Director of General Motors Uzbekistan and will take over the new role from the 1st of August.
3. Arun Sarin, Ola:
Ola, the taxi-hailing app has hired former Vodafone Group CEO Arun Sarin on board as an Independent Director. Sarin will contribute in an advisory role to Ola's overall business strategy. Sarin served as the Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone from 2003 to 2008, helping Vodafone expand into emerging markets like India, Turkey and Africa.
4. Hardeep Singh Brar, General Motors:
Hardeep Singh Brar has been appointed as the new Vice President of Sales for General Motors India. He was a former Volkswagen Group executive. Brar has taken up this new role effective 1st of July.
5. Jack Uppal, General Motors:
Jack Uppal has been appointed Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience for GM India, effective August 1. Jack has been assisting GM Executive Vice President and President of GMI Stefan Jacoby.
