Formula One drivers are heroes to fans, and one such fan is Thomas Danel, and his hero is Kimi Raikkonen. Kimi's 6-year-old fan was left heartbroken after the Ferrari driver crashed, and the cameras picked up the boy in tears.
Having noticed the incident, an F1 Comms manager decided to cheer up the little boy by inviting him to the paddocks along with his parents. Ferrari was also looped in and the young lad, along with his family were invited to the Ferrari paddock where he met Raikkonen.
When Danel was asked what Raikkonen told him, the young boy said, "He said something, but I didn't understand."
The Family remained there even after the race and met other drivers too. The youngster even met Romain Grosjean, his fellow countryman.
The simple move might not be huge, but means a lot to such a fan by bringing spectators and Formula One followers closer to the sport, and more importantly, their heroes.
