Euler Motors Sets Up New Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Plant In Haryana
Electric vehicle adoption is steadily rising in India, mirroring global trends. This surge has led to an increase in electric vehicle manufacturing facilities across the country. Recently, another EV company announced the launch of a new plant. Pictures of this facility have been shared online, sparking interest.
Euler Motors, a prominent player in India's electric commercial vehicle sector, was established in Delhi in 2018. The company has seen significant growth over the past few years, particularly in manufacturing electric vehicles for last-mile cargo delivery.
The new plant by Euler Motors is located in the Balwa area of Haryana. Spanning approximately 5 lakh square feet, it boasts the capacity to produce up to 36,000 electric vehicles annually. This facility represents a significant milestone in the company's expansion efforts.
Constructed at a cost of Rs. 100 crore, this plant will serve as Euler Motors' primary manufacturing hub. The facility was built to meet the increasing demand for the company's electric 3-wheeler, HiLoad. Currently, Euler Motors' products are available in 26 cities across India.
The new plant features an automated assembly line where machines will handle some parts of the vehicle assembly process. This automation aims to reduce manufacturing errors and decrease the number of required workers. Additionally, a software system will track electric vehicles from production to delivery.
Extensive vehicle testing will be conducted at the plant, including dyno-testing and rain testing. A long testing track has been established for these purposes. Facilities have also been set up to properly dispose of waste and garbage generated at the plant.
Commitment to Gender Equality and Compliance
Euler Motors plans to hire female workers on par with men at this new facility. The Balwa plant is recognized under the Indian Factories Act, 1948, ensuring compliance with national regulations.
Certifications and Awards
Euler Motors stands out as the only cargo EV startup with both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. Additionally, it has received ISO 45001 and IATF 16949 certifications. The company has also won the Apollo Award and Auto World 40 awards for 2022.
The establishment of this expansive manufacturing facility underscores the growing demand for Euler Motors' electric vehicles. However, information on when production will commence at the new plant is not yet available.
