Embarq Organises Road Trip Through The Ancient Silk Route
The 'Silk Route' through the Central Asia was an Ancient trade route for merchants transporting silk from India and China to the European Continent. Considered to be one of the best scenic routes to travel.
Now, an Indian travel startup company, Embarq is organising a road trip through the Silk Route which traverses through Kyrgyzstan.
The road trip will be a weeklong and guided trip where participants can have the choice of a motorcycle or a self-drive four wheeler to take the road trip.
The riders and drivers will explore the scenic Kyrgyzstan, considered to be the Switzerland of Asia. Embarq claims all the roads through this route was part of the 'Silk Route', which is also known as the world's second largest alpine lake named Issyk-Kul, which is part of the North India.
There will be no off-roading action, however, the entire route is unpaved and off-road routes which make the journey memorable.
The tour will begin and end at the Kyrgyzstan's capital, Bishkek. Embarq will be providing the two-wheeler and the four-wheelers. You get the choice of the Yamaha XT600 and for the drivers will get their hands on the Toyota 4Runner SUV, which includes insurance as well.
Embarq will provide support car with a mechanic, a first-aid kit, luggage space on the board and a professional photographer. The package includes fuel, all meals, accommodation, spare motorcycle/car, airport transfers from Kyrgyzstan, a local sim card, and Visa support.
The participants will have to pay for the international airfare, visa cost, and personal expenses in addition to the tour package cost.
Pricing:
- Bike - Rs. 1,50,000 + $300 refundable deposit for the bike
- Car - Rs. 1,40,000 + $400 refundable deposit for the bike
*Bookings closes on August 23, 2016 and trip will begin from October 1, 2016 and ends on October 7, 2016.
