Elvish Yadav Makes Headlines with Purchase of Mercedes-Benz G580 EQ Electric SUV
Influencer and winner of Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 Elvish Yadav, has added the the Mercedes-Benz G580 EQ, the all-electric version of the iconic G-Wagen SUV to his collection of luxury cars. The electric SUV was launched in India lastyear for Rs 3 crore (ex-showroom).
Deliveries of Mercedes G580 EQ have just started in India and the first of these electric German SUVs was delivered to Rohit Mainampally, India's youngest serving MLA, who hails from Telangana. Other customers too have started recieving their G580 EQs and Elvish seems to be the latest of them to get their hands on their all-new electric G-Class SUV.
The G-Class EV is the latest exotic to join the controversial influencer's garage. Elvish has previously been seen in a Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet, which costs Rs 1.2 crore (ex-showroom) and before that he was seen in an older-gen Porsche Boxster. However, Yadav, who was arrested last year for supplying snake venom for rave parties also has quite a few everyday cars like the Hyundai Verna and the Toyota Fortuner.
The Mercedes-Benz G580 EQ was showcased to the Indian market at the 'Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025', where it showed off its party trick, the G-turn. The G580 EQ sports a 116kWh battery pack which allows a range of 473km on a single charge and powers four electric motors that deliver 579bhp and 1,164Nm of peak torque, enough for a 0-100km/h sprint time of 5.3 seconds.
The interiors of the Mercedes-Benz G580 EQ come packed with features including two 12.3-inch screens—one for infotainment and the other for the instrumentation —and electrically adjustable seats with heating and cooling options. Multi-zone climate control and adaptive cruise control are also part of its offerings.
Like the other delivered G580 EQs, Elvish Yadav's new ride is the Edition One variant, painted in Exclusive Manufakturer South Sea Blue Magno. The SUV rides on 20-inch wheels and sports brake callipers painted in blue. The interiors of the G 580 feature blue carbon fibre trim pieces and Black Nappa leather upholstery with a contrast blue top stitch.
Elvish Yadav's recent purchase marks another milestone in his life, drawing attention not due to controversy but because of his choice in luxury vehicles. This acquisition highlights the growing interest in electric vehicles among prominent figures in India.
