After Supercars Dubai Police Get Quadskis!
The Dubai Police know how to make it to the news. After being super celebrity personnel with their Ferraris and Lamborghinis and various other supercars as police vehicles, they have now added Quadskis to their fleet!
Quadskis are amphibious vehicles. A quad or ATV on land, the vehicle quickly becomes a jet ski once it enters water. The vehicle almost instantly transforms. All this transition happens in just 5 seconds.
The Quadski is powered by an in-line four-cylinder engine, from a BMW K1300S, that produces 140 horsepower and a peak torque of 118 Nm.
The Quadski is fast on the ground as well as in the water, and can reach a top speed of 72 km/h or 38.9 knots.
The Dubai police already have a fleet of exotic cars as official vehicles although they don't really chase down criminals using them. They are more of a tourist attraction.
This beast of an amphibious vehicle costs USD 40,000. Now considering this is an official police vehicle, the Dubai government can shell out this money for a few more and let the police have a bit of fun at the beach as well.
