DHL has been quite busy testing out the latest version of their delivery drone, the Parcelcopter 3.0.
The company tested out the new service high up in the Bavarian Alps in Germany, with the small village of Reit im Winkl, near the Germany-Austrian border serving as one of drone pick-up and delivery centres while the other centre was inthe ski resort of Winklmoosalm around 8.3 kilometers away.
The DHL Parcelcopter 3.0 is an autonomous tilt wing aircraft that can fly at speed of up to 70km/h and can carry a payload of up to two kilograms. The drone flies at altitude of 500 metres.
