The airline is all set to commence its first-ever flight service to the newly developed Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya, which is now equipped with an extended runway capable of accommodating A-321/B-737 type aircraft.

Mark your calendars for December 30, as this will be the day when Air India Express's maiden flight, bearing the number IX 2789, will gracefully ascend from Delhi at 1100 hours and is expected to touch down in the spiritual city of Ayodhya by 1220 hours.
For those planning their return, the flight IX 1769 will prepare for departure from Ayodhya at 12.50 hours and is scheduled to arrive back in Delhi at 14.10 hours. This new schedule, commencing with daily services from January 16, is a testament to the airline's dedication.

The Ayodhya airport, a project completed with an estimated investment of Rs 350 crore by the Airports Authority of India, was officially certified for operations by the DGCA on December 14. Amidst the buzz, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has confirmed that the airport will be operational by the end of December, with none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to inaugurate this significant addition to the country's aviation infrastructure.
