Custom 'Sun Chaser' Is The Brightest Yamaha RD350 On The Road Today
When Yamaha introduced the RD350 in the country, it was the only motorcycle to feature twin exhaust layout, twin-cylinder two-stroke engine, and a torque induction ignition technology.
Yamaha RD350, the motorcycle that revolutionized the biking culture in the 70's, still is a dream for many riders. In India, Yamaha offered the RD350 with only drum brakes at both ends. But now, the RD350 has been modified by JC Moto and named it as the Sun Chaser.
The Sun Chaser features an entirely reworked engine. When the RD350 was launched, the American-spec model produced around 39bhp while the Indian-spec only had 30bhp and 27bhp (high torque and low torque respectively) power output.
The custom-made Sun Chaser get a bright orange colour scheme. The braking duties are carried out by a disc brake at the front and a drum at the rear. The motorcycle now features a single seat, and the footpegs are rear set. The exhaust system is also new and includes canister at both sides.
When Yamaha introduced the RD350 in the country, it was the only motorcycle to feature twin exhaust layout, twin-cylinder two-stroke engine, and a torque induction ignition technology.
For many, RD350 is still the king of performance, and with some tweaks, it can outrun a latest supersport machine in a straight line.
