CEAT Limited Sponsors WBB Expedition: A Journey of Endurance and Exploration
CEAT Limited, a prominent tire manufacturer in India, is excited to announce its sponsorship of the intrepid explorers from Wander Beyond Boundaries (WBB) as they embark on an extraordinary 22,000km overland journey from Mumbai, India to Magadan. This epic expedition will take them through five countries and six time zones.
The flag-off ceremony for this unprecedented adventure was held at RPG House in Mumbai and was led by Arnab Banerjee, the Managing Director and CEO of CEAT Limited.Nidhi Salgame, the Founder of WBB and an experienced driver in extreme terrains, will lead the expedition.

Equipped with CEAT tires, Indian vehicles will venture into the Pole of Cold - the coldest inhabited place on Earth. This remarkable journey will not only test the performance of CEAT's tires in challenging terrains but also showcase the team's resilience and endurance at an exceptional level. Additionally, it celebrates India's manufacturing prowess and the indomitable spirit of its people.

Embarking on the Road to Siberia is a great honor for her, especially because this time they are an all-Indian team driving Indian vehicles with Indian tires. Salgame believes that the CEAT CrosssDrive All-Terrain tires will prove their worth when navigating the mountain tracts of Nepal and Tibet. Specialized Winter tires will be used at Magadan due to encountering ice, snow, and permafrost roads in Siberia.

The diverse team comprises eight professionals from Bangalore, Hubli, Hyderabad, and Pune who share a common passion for exploration on the road. These individuals come from varied backgrounds such as doctors, interior decorators, and an organic farmer but are united by their love for adventure. This journey is not only about crossing geographical boundaries but also about self-discovery as they shape their own perspectives on life.
The expedition will follow an exhilarating route starting from Mumbai before entering Nepal through Sanauli land border crossing. From there it will proceed to Kathmandu before heading into Tibet. Along the way, they will visit iconic locations such as Everest Base Camp and the ancient Chinese city of Pingyao, among others, before reaching Beijing. The team will then tackle Mongolia's challenging off-road tracks before entering Southern Siberia. They will cross Lake Baikal, the world's largest freshwater lake, on the Trans-Siberian route and continue east to Yakutsk in the Sakha Republic.
The journey will take them through the infamous Road of Bones, leading to Magadan with a detour to Oymyakon - known as the Pole of Cold, which is the coldest inhabited place on Earth. Finally, the vehicles will be shipped back to India from Vladivostok.
