The CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) has announced a robust investment scheme worth around INR 150 crores for the next three years. The hefty sum will be channeled into establishing top-grade racing infrastructure, nurturing new talent domestically, and hosting world-class events throughout India. The league will also double down on securing a significant market share and appealing to a wide base of sports and adventure buffs.

ISRL plans to leverage this strategic funding to host a grand event in India that will resonate with motorsport enthusiasts worldwide. This aggressive move follows the notable success of the Bharat MotoGP, signaling an exciting turn in the destiny of motorcycle racing in the country.

CEAT ISRL's journey is charting its path towards its maiden season set to kick off in December 2023. Initially, the season was to start in October, but it got postponed due to a clash with the ICC Cricket World Cup. The inaugural season will include races at diverse venues, with plans to extend to six venues next year in the second season.

Currently, 75 riders have registered, from which teams will be formed. The inaugural season aims for 6-8 teams and hopes to raise the number to 8-10 teams in the succeeding seasons.The rider pool of CEAT ISRL counts Supercross champions from South Africa and Australia among its ranks, making it a genuinely international tournament. The CEAT ISRL's first season guarantees high-octane action and fierce competition. There will be four race categories: internationally exclusive 450cc and 250cc spaces, a 250cc India-Asia mix, and an 85cc junior class.
