Atlantic Road Bridge - Norway
This could be counted among the the world's craziest bridges for several reason. For one, the bridge is built on several small islands on the Atlantic ocean and things can get really scary when hurricanes hit, which is pretty regular. Also, when looked at from certain angles a section of the bridge looks like its leading to nowhere. The view is so dramatic that it would convince many to turn back if they did not know better.

Dades Gorge in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco is a popular tourist destination. The beauty of the place lies in the landscape of eroded volcanic rocks. Dades Gorge road is also a good place for off road driving.
Jebel Hafeet Mountain Road - UAE
This 11.7 km long road rises up to 1,219 m and consists of 21 corners and three lanes - two up and one down. Edmunds.com called it the greatest driving road in the world, which actually ends in a parking lot that is part of a hotel and palace complex. Part of the climax scene of the Bollywood movie RACE was shot here.
Transfagarasan Highway - Romania
The highway was constructed to make passage of Romanian troops easier through the Carpathian Mountain range during the 1970s. Now, the highway is considered one of the best driving roads. Viewed from the air the twists and turns make the highway look like the world's largest racing circuit.

ski

it
look

desert?

mountain's
18,000
year
old
glacier
melted
away

skiing
is

made
possible
during
winter
seasons.
Stelvio Pass - Italy
At 2757 m, Stelvio pass is the the second highest mountain pass in the Alps. The road consists of 60 hairpin turns. It was termed the greatest driving road in the world by Top Gear.
Yungas Road - Bolivia
It is often called the "most dangerous road" in the world. The North Yungas Road section is considered the most dangerous, characterized by an extremely narrow road, with the cliff face on one side and the deep gorge on the other. A modern, alternate route is now available, but the older route is still used by adventure junkies.
Hindustan-Tibet Highway
The image explains why this highway features in our list. This 480 km long highway passes through Shimla and crosses into Tibet at the Shipki Pass.
Guoliang Tunnel - China
Yet another amazing road from China. This one is in the Taihang mountains of China and measures 1,200 meters long. What makes Guoliang tunnel popular is that it is completely hand built by local villagers. The tunnel measures 5 meters high and 4 meters wide and took five years to complete. The tunnel is the only link the villagers have to the outside world. The tunnel is provided with several "windows" across its length.
Hawks Nest- New York
Hawks Nest Road, so called because of the birds of prey that nest there, is a scenic road, with the view of the Delaware river. The road has a speed limit of 55 mph (88 km/h), but is still a good place to go bike riding.
Taroko Gorge - Taiwan
"Magnificent and Splendid" is what Taroko means, perfectly defining the beauty of the place. The road carved into the mountain passes through the Taroko Gorge National Park.
Lombard Street - San Francisco
This beautiful street has made its appearance in several movies and TV shows and a section of the street consists of eight sharp hairpin turns, with gardens on either side.
Volcanoes National Park Road - Hawaii
Take care unless you want your car tyres to melt. Residents of the area are used to seeing roads blocked by molten lava.
Vrontados Chios Island - Greece
A beautiful island road with a view of the Mediterranean ocean, perfect setting for an enjoyable evening drive.
Canyonlands National Park - Moab, Utah
Perfect off road setting, with a view to die for. Perfect for off road adventurers.
Via Krupp Capri - Italy
The last one in out list is actually a footpath on the island of Capri that connects the Charterhouse of San Giacomo on top of the hill with the Gardens of Augustus some 100 m below.
