Car Collides Head-On With Bike In A Horrific Crash In Kerala

The accident occurred at a place called Karunagappally in Kerala. A CCTV camera installed in a tyre store in Pulliman Junction captured the entire incident and Sarath Kumar has uploaded the video on his Youtube channel. An overspeeding hatchback, which looks like a Maruti Alto collided head-on into a motorcycle and both the rider and pillion were thrown off.

After the collision, the car flips and comes to a rest by hitting a parked rickshaw. Luckily, both the riders are said to be alive but have sustained severe injuries. From the video, it looks like the car was overspeeding and the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The car travelling at very high speed, first moves to the opposite lane of the undivided road. Then the driver tried to steer the vehicle to its lane at very high speed but ended up colliding head-on with the bike. Fortunately, another bike and an auto rickshaw narrowly missed by being hit by the car.

The undivided wide roads are extremely dangerous as the vehicles often travel at very high speeds. A small mistake can cause the vehicle to move to the opposite lane leading to a horrific crash. It is very important to stick to the speed limits on such roads to avoid such crashes.

One should not overspeed on crowded or public roads as the reaction time of the driver/rider decreases drastically. At such high speeds, the chances of a vehicle going out of control are very high. Adhering to the speed limit gives the driver more time to take evasive action to avoid any obstacles on the road.
