Bus Stop Stolen In Bengaluru – Not The First Incident In The City
'Bus Stop' stolen in Bengaluru city. Yes, you have read that right. According to Bengaluru police, an FIR has already been registered regarding the matter after a complaint was filed on September 30 regarding the missing bus shelter.
Looking into details, the stolen bus shelter was located on Cunninghan Road and was managed by the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC). It is also worth mentioning that the steel structure of the Bus Shelter was reported to be worth around Rs 10 lakh.

As mentioned earlier, the complaint was filed on September 30. However, it was filed by N Ravi Reddy, associate vice-president of the company responsible for the construction of the BMTC bus shelter.
That being said, the headline-grabbing incident is not the first of its kind in the Silicon City. In fact, a few months back, a three-decade-old bus stand located in HRBR Layout disappeared in a similar fashion.
Also, according to a report by India Today, a bus shelter situated in Kalyan Nagar, which was donated by Lions Club back in 1990 disappeared overnight to "make way for a commercial establishment".
Back in 2015, a bus stop near Horizon School disappeared in an identical manner. Furthermore, a 20-year-old bus stop went missing in BEML Layout Stage 3, Rajarajeshwari Nagar in 2014.
