Brewtroleum: A Beer Blended Ethanol Fuel To Run Your Car!
This is another story from the bizarre world of automobile, but only that it works. This is an innovation from New Zealand that helps cars run on beer!
It is called ‘Brewtroleum'—fuel that is made of beer blended ethanol, that powers the cars. Engineers have managed to extracted natural brewing residue from local breweries.
It is made by a very simple process: The leftover yeast from breweries creates ethanol. That is then refined thoroughly and finally a 10 percent ethanol and 90 percent premium gasoline blend is created.
Around 80,000 gallons of fuel can be produced, using just 8,000 gallons of beer-sourced ethanol. This fuel supposedly helps clean your engine from excess water and corrosives too!
Due to its composition and mixture, it emits eight percent less carbon while delivering the same performance that a premium fuel provides.
Now that's one crazy idea turned reality. Cheers!
