Pune, located in western India, ranks second for prolonged travel times, with drivers needing 27 minutes and 50 seconds to travel the same distance. The city's growing population and expanding infrastructure contribute to its traffic woes. Despite attempts to enhance traffic management, Bengaluru's roads remain among the slowest.
The TomTom Traffic Index evaluates cities globally based on average travel time, fuel costs, and CO2 emissions. It covers 387 cities across 55 countries on six continents.
