Bengaluru Bandh: Transportation Services Stumped, Hotels To Remain Closed
The Bengaluru bandh has been called upon by Pro-Kannada organisations and farmer associations as a response to the Karnataka government's decision to allocate Kaveri water to Tamilnadu. In fact, more than 175 organisations across the state declared their support to the bandh on September 26.
Thanks to the extensive support of different organisations across Karnataka, tomorrow's bandh in Bengaluru is likely to remain strong and effective. In fact, KSRTC, BMTC, and private cab services will not be available tomorrow in Bengaluru.

Ola, Uber, and Owners Association President, Tanveer Pasha also announced support for the bandh. As such, Airport taxi services are also likely to be affected. That being said, Namma Metro services will continue to remain operational as usual.
That being said, all emergency services including ambulances and important goods vehicles including pharma vehicles will remain operational across Bengaluru. Also, hospitals and medical shops will remain in service as usual.

Coming to educational institutions, Private Schools Union General Secretary Shashikumar extended his support to the Bengaluru bandh. However, it is yet to be known whether private schools will be operational tomorrow as a decision is yet to be taken on the matter.
However, we expect many private schools in Bengaluru to declare a holiday for tomorrow as many students and staff depend on public transport services to reach their respective schools and colleges.
It is also worth mentioning that commercial establishments including restaurants will be closed tomorrow as the Hotel And Restaurant Association in the state extends its support to tomorrow's Bengaluru bandh.
Looking into details behind the bandh, the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) recently instructed Karnataka to release 5,000 cusecs of water to Tamilnadu for 15 more days. The Bengaluru bandh has been called upon in response to the above decision from the government.
Thoughts About Tomorrow's Bengaluru Bandh
According to reports, more than 175 organisations in Karnataka including Ola, Uber and Owners Association have extended their support to tomorrow's Bengaluru bandh. This is likely to significantly affect transportation and other related services in Bengaluru.
