Ariel Atom vs Citroen DS3 Rallycross vs BMW HP4
This quarter mile drag race (402 meters) conducted by Autocar is interesting for several reasons. Setting aside the fact that just the names of the three vehicles is enough to grab a viewer's attention, what makes this even more entertaining and unpredictable is because three vehicles couldn't differ from each any more than this.
The Citroen DS3 Rallycross is no less than a supercar, but can exhibit supercar like performance on any surface. The BMW HP4 superbike was simply developed as an excuse to bring a MotoGP race bike on public roads. We are all too familiar with the Ariel Atom 500. A lightweight, bare bones construction powered by a motorcycle engine that has managed to put even the Bugatti Veyron in its rightful place. Here is what happens on a rather wet day.
