Another Batch Of Force Gurkha SUVs Join Kerala Police Fleet – All You Need To Know
Recently, Kerala Police force acquired 10 more units of Force Gurkha SUVs to its fleet. This indicates that the off-road focussed SUV has performed exceptionally well for the Kerala Police department.
The pictures of the 10 units of Force Gurkha SUVs getting delivered to Trivandrum Police were uploaded to Facebook by a user by the name of Anjan Kumar. In the post, the Facebook user mentions that the 10 Force Gurkha SUVs were delivered to the Kerala Police department.
Speaking about the new Force Gurkha SUV, the off-road focussed SUV is priced at Rs 14.75 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and it sports a tried-and-tested 2.6-litre Mercedes-derived common rail, direct-injection, turbocharged diesel engine with 91bhp of peak power and 250Nm of peak torque.
As standard, the new Force Gurkha comes with a 5-speed manual transmission and a robust four-wheel drive system with locking differentials on both the front and rear axles for extreme off-road capability.
Despite the utilitarian nature of the Force Gurkha, the off-road-focused SUV comes with a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, central locking, manual air-conditioning, individual armrest, power windows, speed-sensing door locks, and follow-me home headlights.
Other noticeable features on the Force Gurkha SUV include LED headlights, a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a part digital instrument console with an analogue speedometer and a tachometer.
In terms of safety, the new Force Gurkha SUV is well-equipped with safety systems such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS), speed alert, one-touch lane change indicator, and a few more.
