AI Camera Ghost Image Goes Viral – Challan For Not Wearing Seatbelt!
Kerala Motor Vehicle Department recently installed 726 AI cameras across the state to nab traffic violators. Though these AI cameras are proving their worth, they often grab the limelight for capturing hilarious incidents as well.
Now, an interesting photo clicked by an AI camera in Kerala is going viral. However, this time, it is not hilarious but horrifying. However, at a glance, this captured image may seem normal until two of the three occupants who were captured in the car share their views.
Looking into the details, the AI camera clicked a photo of a Maruti 800 as both the driver and co-driver were not wearing seatbelts - A clear violation of the rules. However, the picture also shows a woman just behind the driver's seat.
While this seems normal, according to the driver and passenger in the Maruti 800, there was no such person travelling with them. In fact, they even told the Kerala MVD that two kids were travelling with them in the back seat and their images were absent from this captured picture.
This image was captured by the AI camera installed at Melppalam near Payyanur town in Kerala. Also, the location of this AI camera is widely shared across various social media platforms as well.
Kerala MVD has also sent the captured photograph to the manufacturers of the AI camera for further analysis. However, given the awkward positioning of the 'ghost', we expect it to be an image of one of the kids in the back seat who is looking older due to camera distortion.
Thoughts About AI Camera Ghost
As mentioned, we expect the AI Camera Ghost to be the result of camera distortion or glitch in lighting exposure. Also, this is not a matter that deserves serious attention from the public.
That being said, AI Cameras in Kerala seem to be quite effective against nabbing traffic violators. However, some seem to deliberately violate traffic rules to gain social media attention by practising scripted stunts in front of the AI camera.
