Aero-X Hoverbike From Aerofex Is A Flying Motorcycle Of The Future Now
Aero-X is a vehicle straight out of Hollywood sci-fi movies. Being developed by a california based company called Aerofex, the Aero-X is a flying motorcycle or rather a hoverbike.
The best part about Aero-X is that, unlike most prototypes of extreme vehicles which have no clear launch date, this hoverbike is will be launched in 2017 and you can even place an order for one right now on their website.

Aero-X is designed to carry two people, just like a motorcycle, but instead of wheels this vehicle comes with twin carbon fiber rotors, mounted parallel to the ground.

The rotors turn, creating lift, just like in a helicopter, and can lift the Aero-X to a maximum height of 9 feet above ground.

The hoverbike weights 356 kg and can carry loads of up to 140 kg, with vertical take-off and landing capability.

Forward speed attainable is a decent 68 km/h, as per trial runs and it can operate for about 75 minutes on a full tank of fuel.

Maneuvering Aero-X is not very different from controlling a motorcycle. The hoverbike responds to a rider's leaning movements. It also comes with a motorcycle like steering handles.

In fact, according to Aerofex founder, Mark De Roche, a rider will can get accomed to controlling the Aero-X in just over a weekend.

Aero-X has an estimated price tag of $85,000 (~INR 50 lakhs) and you can reserve one by paying a refundable amount of $5,000 on the company website.
