Actor Nagabhushan Accident Causes Death Of A Woman – Car Seized, Released On Station Bail
On Saturday, Kannada actor Nagabhushan was involved in a car accident, resulting in the death of a 48-year-old woman. The accident took place at Kumaraswamy Layout traffic police limits at around 09:45 pm.
According to the details collected, the Kia Seltos SUV driven by Kannada actor Nagabhushan rammed into Prema S (48), and Krishna B (58), when the couple went for a walk at the Vasanthapura Main Road in Bengaluru.
In the resulting accident, 48-year-old Prema succumbed to her injuries sustained while going to hospital, while her husband Krishna is currently being treated at a private hospital for the injuries sustained from the above-mentioned accident.
According to the police, Prema and her husband Krishna were walking on the footpath when actor Nagabhushan allegedly knocked them down while driving his Kia Seltos SUV from Uttarahalli towards Konanakunte Cross.
After hitting the couple, Nagabhushan lost control of his SUV and crashed into a nearby electric pole. It is also worth mentioning that the Police claimed that the actor was driving in a "rash and negligent" manner.
However, actor Nagabhushan rushed the injured couple to a nearby private hospital. Unfortunately, as mentioned above, Prema (the injured woman) dies on the way to the hospital, whereas her husband Krishna is currently being treated for his injuries.
Later, the couple's son filed a police complaint, meanwhile, an FIR was registered against Nagabhushan. Also, the actor has been booked under IPC Sections 279 (rash driving on a public way), 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), and 304(A) (causing death by negligence).
It is also worth mentioning that the Kia Seltos SUV involved in the accident has been seized, and the actor was released on station bail. Moreover, when police tested Nagabhushan with a Breath Analyser, the actor was found to be not under the influence of alcohol.

It is difficult to judge whose fault resulted in the accident just by analysing different narrations of the accident. In such times a dashcam could have provided crucial shreds of evidence to the police, saving plenty of time and resources.
