Nissan GT-R Smashes World Record For Fastest Drift - Video

By Dennis

306km/h. That's how fast a certain Japanese drifting madcap called Masato Kawabata was travelling in his 1361bhp Nissan GT-R while executing a 30 degree slide at Fujairah International Airport in the United Arab Emirates.

He must have really had his brave pants on as he smashed the previous Guinesss World Record of drifting at 217km/h set by Poland's Jakub Przygoński in 2013.

Kawabata's GT-R was modified by Nissan's in-house performance division Nismo with the help of automotive performance parts manufacturer GReddy.
