Top 10 Best Car Interiors 2014 Named By Ward Auto
There are plenty of car awards that appreciate the how a car performs and how it looks on the outside, but very few which recognize the beauty, functionality and luxury of a car's interior.
Car cabins have evolved over time to offer comfort as well as access to cutting edge technology and luxury features. At the same time, the most luxurious or the most high-tech dashboard does not necessarily make a car's cabin the best.
WardsAuto has come out with its list of 10 best interiors after evaluating 41 vehicles sold in the U.S. The cars were rated based on features such as ergonomics, driver information, fit-and-finish, materials, value, safety, comfort and design harmony. All 10 winners offer a new or significant interior feature.
Cost of vehicles did not play a part in the selection process, which has resulted in a diverse range of vehicles. The winners of Ward's 10 Best Interiors will be awarded on May 21.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray ($71,960)
For: Customizable digital instrument cluster; carbon-fiber trim, suede-like microfiber headliner and contrasting white stitching on seats at a comparatively low cost.
2015 Chrysler 200C ($31,470)
For: Ambient lighting, contrast piping on leather-trimmed seats, attractive brightwork, an ergonomically ideal angled center console, a clever sliding cup holder and a stand-out 1-piece matte-finish wood veneer that frames the steering column, instrument cluster and center stack and also dresses up the door panel.
Extremely spacious cabin, self parking technology, a trunk that opens if key is accidently locked inside.
2014 GMC Sierra Denali ($56,685)
For: Excellent build quality, rugged practicality, a no-nonsense urban flair with brushed metallic trim, the availability of several electrical sockets and USB plugs, lots of storage cubbies, a massive center console and features necessary for extreme weather, such as heated and cooled front seats and a heated steering wheel.
2014 Hyundai Equus Ultimate ($68,920)
For: Superb build quality and limousine-like luxury features and space at a very low price, on par with luxury cars that reach the six-figure mark.
2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited ($37,525)
For: A cabin that's well suited for both city and off-road driving; big and accessible controls; a quick-response multi-purpose central display touchscreen.
2014 Kia Soul+ ($24,010)
For: Breakthrough aesthetic appeal; premium features such as 8-in. navigation screen, back-up camera, panoramic roof, Infinity audio system and lighted speakers offered for the money.
2014 Mazda3 ($30,415)
For: An entry-level car that offers Audi-like central controller; Advanced safety features such as radar-based adaptive cruise control, forward-obstruction warning and lane-departure warning; Superb aesthetics in the form of carbon-fiber trim, three shades of contrast stitching, a head-up display and upscale metallic accents such as an instrument cluster that shimmers at night.
2014 Mercedes-Benz S550 ($122,895)
For: Everything actually. To name a few: Seven colors of ambient light; hot-stone massage treatment, built-in pillows for the reclining rear seats, perforated leather, metallic-stained wood trim and a double-wide display screen; Advanced safety and autonomous drive features; countless customizable gadgets.
2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith ($372,800)
For: Luxury and opulence; LED embedded ceiling that mimics a starry night sky.
2015 Volkswagen GTI (est. $30,695)
For: Sporty, elegant and practical hatchback interior at an affordable price.
