Volvo V40 Cross Country Launched At Rs 28.5 Lakhs
The Swedish automaker Volvo has launched the V40 Cross Country crossover for its Indian customers. Volvo is expected to attract potential customers with its offering of a comprehensive safety, luxury and functional feature package for a price tag that rivals others in its segment. This includes BMW X1, Audi Q3, Mercedes Benz B-Class and perhaps even A-Class and the upcoming BMW 1 Series.
While in international markets Volvo V40 Cross Country is offered in 4 petrol and 3 diesel engine variants, in India a single, ‘D3' trim, packed with a bevy of features has made its way. This is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 litre five cylinder common-rail diesel engine, rated at 148 HP and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six speed Geartronic automatic transmission.
Coming from Volvo, the V40 Cross Country is naturally one of safest cars on offer in India, not only in its segment, but overall. Apart from its trademark safety front, the V40 Cross Country comes with a range of features for off-roading, which will make it suitable for long adventure drivers.
