Gear Up For Some Motorsport Action, Volkswagen Vento Cup Happening This Weekend
Round 3 of the Volkswagen Vento Cup will be held at Madras Motorsport Race Track (MMRT) this weekend from 20-21 of August. This will be the penultimate round of the season, thus an exciting and competitive race is expected.
With top drivers going for maximum points offered, a fierce battle on the track can be witnessed. As the track was already used in the previous round, it will come down to pure driving skills to go for the win.
The temperatures on the track is expected to hit high, making it challenging for the race crews. Apart from that, the MMRT race track was resurfaced recently and it will provide that extra grip which will give drivers the confidence to push to the limit.
The Head of Volkswagen Motorsport, Sirish Vissa said, "Having passed the mid-way mark in the Vento Cup 2016 season, it is time for the drivers to showcase their learnings so far and improve further.
The fight for the top honours is going to be intense from here on as we enter the crucial phase of the season." He further adds, "With the track having settled in after the resurfacing, we are expecting some good lap times from our race-prepped Vento Cup cars, especially since we have done a lot of testing and development of this year's car at this very circuit."
