Volkswagen T-ROC will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show 2014 that starts on March 4th. Unfortunately, this fun looking car is certainly a concept that's a pure show car and is no where near production ready.

VW T-ROC concept is based on the company's MQB platform and comes with a removable split roof made from carbon composite materials.

Despite being a concept VW has released specific details about the T-ROC's dimensions, which go as follows: 4179mm long; 1831mm wide; and 1501mm high.

VW even has the engine for the T-ROC concept figured out, which will be a 2.0 liter turbocharged diesel engine rated at 184 PS and 380 Nm torque. That's the engine from a Golf.

The T-ROC would feature a seven-speed DSG transmission with Haldex all-wheel-drive system, along with hill-descent and hill-start assist features.
The engine will also deliver a very practical 24.4 kmpl mileage with CO2 emission of 129g/km.

Claimed top speed is 209 km/h, while VW says, 0-100 km/h could be done in 6.9 seconds.

The T-ROC wears 245/45 tyres on 19 inch wheels which can be maneuvered around rough terrain thanks to the three driving mods - street, off-road and snow - that vary power and grip provided by the large tyres.

There are also front and rear cameras that display a picture of the surrounds on a large 12.3 inch TFT display to help you tackle the great off-road.

External design features consists of a prominent 3D radiator grille, daytime running lights, LED headlamps & tail lights, large skid plates (front and back) and rectangular tailpipes.

Despite a practical engine and a design that can be made production ready there's no news about whether or not VW will build the T-ROC.
