Toyota Researching Cars That Hover Above Ground
Toyota, the world's largest car manufacturer and a leading developer of several advanced automotive technology for the future, has confirmed that it is conducting research on cars that sound like that are straight out of hollywood movies.
As reported by The Verge, during an interview at Bloomberg's Next Big Thing Summit in San Francisco Hiroyoshi Yoshiki - the managing officer with Toyota's technical administration group said that company is working on flying cars of its own.
He said that the company was "studying a similar idea of flying cars at one of its most advanced research and development areas" However, this is not a flying car like the Terrafugia, but futuristic cars like the ones seen in the movie Total Recall which hover above ground. Much like real life hovercrafts.

According to the report, Yoshiki declined to elaborate on the matter and did not say when or how far into the project the company is into or whether at all it ever intends to bring such a car into the real world.
Also speaking during the interview was the acting administrator of the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration David Friedman, which was held to discuss the future of self-driving vehicles.
