Tata Zest Launched Today In Delhi

Indian automobile maker Tata Motors launched the all new Tata Zest today in Delhi. This new compact sedan comes in both petrol and diesel variants. Prices start from INR 4.64 lakh for base petrol model and INR 5.64 lakhs for the base diesel variant (ex-showroom Delhi).

The car will be on sale in any of the 470 Tata passenger vehicle outlets.

Tata claim that the Zest has 21 features that are the first in its class which include projector head lamps, daytime running lights, Multi-Drive Mode (Sport, Eco and City) in the petrol and model and a turbocharged petrol engine.

The petrol engine is a 1.2-litre turbocharged MPFI motor. The 1.2 Revotron petrol engine delivers 90 PS of power at 5000 rpm and produces a max torque of 140 Nm between 1750 to 3500 rpm. Tata claim a mileage of 17.6 kpl for this petrol engine.

The diesel variant is a 1.3-litre Quadrajet engine that produces a maximum power of 90 PS at 4000 rpm and generates a peak torque of 200 Nm between 1750 to 3000 rpm. Tata claim a mileage of 23 kpl. The diesel model will have two driving modes (Sport and City).

The Tata Zest has four different trims of the petrol variant and five different trims of the diesel variant. The XMA diesel variant comes equipped with an F-Tronic Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).
