Tata Motors Premium Hatchback, MPV & Compact SUV Under Development
Following the news about Tata Motors developing a new car, code-named Kite, a new report about upcoming cars has emerged which talks about the automaker working on a premium hatchback, an MPV and a compact SUV.
Also, according to the same report, the ‘Kite', which was earlier thought to fit in between the Nano and Indica, will be a replacement to the Indica.
Now for the premium hatchback. This new product would be based on a new platform that will give rise to future sedans. The premium hatchback would be placed above the Bolt and would be in the same category as the Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai i20.

This new hatchback is said to be currently under and could be launched in late 2016 or early 2017. The premium hatchback will also reportedly get next-gen turbo petrol and diesel engines with AMT gearboxes.
Tata's new UV platform will form the base for the reported new MPV and compact SUV models, which will go up against the Ertigas and Mobilios, and Dusters and EcoSports respectively.
The concept versions of these two new vehicles based on the new platform is expected to be revealed in 2016.
