Ssangyong Rexton RX6 Launched; Price, Features & Specs
SsangYong launched a new variant of the Rexton SUV yesterday in Pune. The new model, the Rexton RX6, is a mid-variant, positioned between the earlier RX5 and RX7 trim levels.

The new Rexton RX6 has been priced at INR 19.66 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and has been provided with the feature set of the top-end RX7 and the mechanical innards of the RX5.

The new SsangYong Rexton RX6 has the same Mercedes-sourced engine under the bonnet that's in the same state of tune as in the RX5 variant. The 2.7-litre, 5-cylinder diesel engine produces 162 bhp and 340 Nm of torque.
The transmission is the same as the RX5 as well, which is a 5-speed manual unit, delivering power to all four wheels via a torque-on-demand system (the RX7 has permanent 4WD and an auto transmission).
Standard features provided include LED daytime running lights, premium leather upholstery, eight way electrically-adjustable seats with memory function, electric sunroof, automatic headlights, rain sensing wipers, infotainment system with navigation, ABS and hill descent and ascent control.
SsangYong Rexton RX5 has a price tag of INR 18.87 lakh, the new RX6 costs INR 19.96 lakh and the top-of-the-line RX7 comes for a price of INR 21.11 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom Delhi).
