South Korean SUV specialist Ssangyong, now owned by India's Mahindra and Mahindra, is all set to have a greater presence in the Indian SUV market. Mahindra is planning to launch a second Ssangyong SUV in India following the Rexton. The new model being considered for India is the Ssangyong Korando premium SUV.

The Ssangyong Korando's India launch is dependent on a market study being conducted by Mahindra. If the market survey expects a positive response for the Korando in the Indian market, Mahindra will then find an appropriate time to launch the SUV. The Ssangyong Korando has already been displayed in India during the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo.
