Porsche 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition Marks Le Mans Return
Porsche is making a historical return to Le Mans 24 Hours and it is giving its customers the chance to celebrate this momentous occasion with it by launching a special limited edition model with the iconic Martini Racing livery.
The Porsche 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition is available in white and black body colours and wear the red and blue stripes on the bonnet, roof and sides proudly.
Porsche has had a long and rich connection with Martini Racing and legendary Porsche race cars such as the 917 and 935 "Moby Dick from the 1970s and more recently the 918 Spyder have worn this livery. Arguably, Porsche cars look the best in Martini Racing livery.
Besides the beautiful livery, the Porsche 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition also gets a Aerokit Cup body kit which includes a special front apron spoiler lip and a fixed rear spoiler.
The interior body colored accents with "Martini Racing Edition" badging and stainless steel door sill panels with the red illuminated "911 Carrera S - Martini Racing Edition" badge.
Furthermore, the car comes with sport steering wheel and Porsche Sport Chrono package as standard. Porsche Communication Management package can also be specified as an optional upgrade and this adds a navigation module, a Bose sound system, tachometer with black gauge dial and all-electric sport seats in black leather.
The car remains mechanically unchanged from the 911 Carrera S and as such is powered by the 3.8-liter flat-six engine delivering 400 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque. The engine can be had either with a seven-speed manual or PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Coming to performance, with the PDK and Sport Plus mode turned on, the car can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds.
Only 80 Porsche 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Editions will be made and these will go on sale in Europe immediately, followed by China in August, and Japan and Latin America in October.
