New Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Launched

Maruti Suzuki has launched the all new Wagon R priced at INR 3.58 lakhs. The new Wagon R delivers a higher mileage which has improved by an impressive 8%. Maruti Suzuki has also made some changes to the exterior design and has also improved the interior finish. The Wagon R is one of the top 5 best selling cars in India and as won over buyers with its fuel efficiency, performance and handling.

Commenting on the new Wagon R, Maruti Suzuki's Vice President (Marketing) said: "Wagon R is not just a best seller for us but is also among top five models of the industry. The changes introduced on the New Wagon R are in line with the customer feedback received through our regular customer engagement programmes. The new Wagon R is over 8% more fuel efficient, sportier, OBD-II compliant, contemporary in design and laced with utility features. We are confident that customers will appreciate the refreshments in the new Wagon R and we it would help to strengthen brand Wagon R."

Extra From Every Drop

The refreshed new Wagon R is set to delight its owners with a whopping improvement of over 8% in fuel efficiency. The K-10 engine returns an impressive fuel efficiency of 20.51kmpl. Maruti Suzuki engineers have been able to achieve this higher fuel efficiency through several factors that bring down friction, enhance engine breathing and improve combustion. In addition, introduction of low viscosity transmission oil helps in smoother gear shift and lowers maintenance costs for the new Wagon R.

Cleaner Engine Performance

The New Wagon R is future ready as it is OBD-II compliant, which is like an indicator of engine health and alerts customers in case of any breakdown.

Fresh Exteriors

Among the notable changes refreshed Wagon R sports a brand new fascia and carries the signature `S' logo on the U shaped front fascia. The front looks perfectly aligned to the Suzuki U- design family. The new sporty fog lamps lend a distinctive look to the car. Chrome accentuated front grille in LXi and VXi trims, add to the rich looks of the best seller. In addition, designers have smartly integrated the new-front upper grille to bring down friction and NVH.

New age interiors

The new Wagon R comes with dual tone interior color scheme (beige & black). The VXi trim has complete beige seats while the Lx and Lxi trims have beige and black combination. The VXi trim comes packed with new eagle wings audio system with integrated USB and AUX-in ports.

Improved Storage Spaces

To give women of the car more utility space, interior designers for the new Wagon R have added a storage box in the upper Instrument Panel. The ergonomically designed storage box is useful to store cans, knick-knacks, accessories and other utility items. To ease night driving, the engineers have equipped the new Wagon R with a day/night inside rear view mirror that reduces glare and reflections.

Acclaimed K-series engine

Under the hood of the new Wagon R lies the celebrated K-10 engine delivering a high fuel efficiency of 20.51 kmpl (Certified fuel efficiency as per CMVR Rule 115A). The K-10 engine returns a torque of 90Nm@ 3500 rpm and unmatched power of 68ps@6200rpm.

Vibrant Colours

The new Maruti Suzuki Wagon R will be available in seven colours. Passion Red and Ecru Beige are the latest new colours. The Wagon R was will also be available in Glistening Grey, Superior White, Breeze Blue, Silky Silver and Baker's Chocolate.
