2014 Fiat Linea Launched; Price Starts At INR 6.99 lakhs

Lets start with the front of new Linea where most of the exterior changes lie. New is the grille design, the lower airdam, bumper and even the fog lamp housing. There's also plenty of shiny bits at the front. The shape of the headlamp remains unchanged.

Moving towards the side we see the ORVM now feature integrated indicator lamps, while the alloy wheel design is new as well.

The changes towards the rear include a chrome strip running the lower bumper and a repositioned number plate that now sits on the boot lid.

Despite all the chrome on the outside, it is the new interior which makes the 2014 Linea shine. The cabin with its two tone beige & black colour scheme and soft touch plastic looks more premium.

A new gloss black center console with audio system, revised AC vents, ambient cabin lighting are a few other changes that appear in the new Linea.

The instrument cluster now has chrome rings around each dial and a large and useful digital display.

Engine options are follows:
The 112 bhp power 1.4-litre T-Jet turbo-petrol
The 92 bhp 1.3-litre Multijet diesel and
The 1.4-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which is only for the base Active variant.

The engines are coupled to a 5 speed manual transmission, which helps the petrol deliver a mileage of 15.7 kmpl, while the diesel will do 20.4 kmpl.

The new Linea is offered in three trims levels - Active, Dynamic and Emotion.
Even the base Active trim provides plenty of standard features such as keyless entry, powered wing mirrors with integrated turn signals, power windows, central and remote locking, rain sensing wipers, outside temperature display, programmable follow-me-home lamps, automatic headlamps and a chrome exhaust tip.

The T-Jet Active adds disc brakes on all four wheels, ABS & EBD to the features provided with the base Active.

The mid level trim Dynamic has all the features of the Active, along with dual-stage front airbags, 15-inch alloy wheels, adjustable driver seat, automatic climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, rear AC vents, a four-speaker music system with two tweeters, steering-mounted audio controls and reverse parking sensors.

The top of the line Emotion trim adds leather upholstery, chrome accents on the outside, ambient light on the dash, rear sun curtains, cruise control and 16 inch alloy wheels.
